A GOOD LOCK IS USELESS WITHOUT A GOOD STRIKE PLATE.
These Come in 18″, 12″ and 8″ long plates.  Each Plate is 13 Gauge Steel.

Single hole version designed to work with key-in-knob or deadbolt

Each Includes  4 ea. #12 x 1″ FHSMS, 2 ea. #8 X 3″ Bugle Head Wood Screws  to disburse force.
These will strengthen wood door jambs and even help in repairing minor damage. The 2 hole Models are 6″ center to center and because the holes are oversized, They will fit standard 5 1/2″ up to 6 1/2″ center to center holes. The overall width is 2 1/4″ including 1/4″ lip and is made for use with 1 3/4″ and 1 3/8” exterior doors. The lip runs the entire length of the strike plate so it will work with either left or right hand doors. This is one of the best ways to protect yourself from forced Entry.
These are available in BP (Brass Plated), SL (Silver Coated), and WH (White Coated)
